Last week I came in on the tail end of a Pilates class and decided to make sure to get there on time and take it next week. What is it that I can achieve doing Pilates? (Anna, Smithtown)

Though I have never taken Pilates classes, I have observed them often and have done many of the movements which I recommend to my clients. Here are some short and long term benefits:

  • Relaxation and stress-reduction
  • Achieving Mind/body awareness
  • Non-impact exercises that tone and lengthen your abdominal and spinal muscles
  • Improved posture
  • Better circulation
  • Increased stamina
  • An overall feeling of good health

As you can see these are ingredients that make a good soup. Set your alarm clock and take that class!
